WebQuest: American Regions
WebQuests could be described as exploratory activities for educational purposes where students are supposed to do research on a particular topic using the world wide web. In other words, the information that the students are supposed to work with should hail from the internet sources. Moreover, WebQuests can be compared with group work activities and can be used for both specific subjects and interdisciplinary. Their length may vary according to the topic, however, they usually last 90 minutes or more (up to several weeks). Considering their fields of application, WebQuests can be implemented to improve your students' skills and knowledge on a topic or to introduce a new theme. Their coherent structure provides your students with tangible points of reference and usually consists of the following parts:
