Welcome to my E-Portfolio!
My name is Paul Michael Hückel and I am a student of English and Geography. Being in my last year of university, I am on the verge of becoming a teacher and educator who has to face the latest technological developments and evaluate new media with regard to its potentials and benefits for school. Given that most students are part of the generation of so-called "Digital Natives", it is the duty of future teachers to be able to deal with new media such as interactive whiteboards, Web 2.0 and web tools. Hence, my goal is both to reflect on my learning process in terms of dealing with new media and to present the current state of development concerning media use in school.
This portfolio is part of the seminars "New Media in Foreign Language Education" and "Presenting Content (Medienproduktion)" of the Philipps University Marburg (summer semester 2012).
Throughout the semester I am going to publish various articles, material, links, pieces of work, and tasks that relate to new media and its impacts for educational purposes. Hence, this e-portfolio serves research and informational purposes only and is non-commercial.
Feel free to contact me in case you have questions, remarks or suggestions!
